All DermaVeen products are dermatologically tested

A.

It means the product has been tested on human skin for its potential to cause irritation and sensitisation (allergic reactions) to ensure it’s gentle and suitable for sensitive skin.

The test involved is called Repeat Insult Patch Testing (RIPT). This is conducted on a large group of study participants (100 being the most typical number) and involves applying the product to the skin and covering it with a semi-occlusive patch (a patch that is open on two sides, allowing some air to flow) for a period of 24 hours. The skin is then assessed. This process is conducted multiple times over a three week period.

A.

All DermaVeen products are hypoallergenic.

The DermaVeen range is safe to use during pregnancy. The products are applied topically on the top layer of the skin, hence absorption into the body is minimal, if any. It is recommended that you refer to your doctor/specialist/pharmacist for further advice before using this product during pregnancy. Also, when trying a new product for the first time, it is always recommended to perform a patch test by applying a small amount on a small area of skin to determine its suitability for your skin type.
